To answer your questoin ,yes mother is from suonenjoki and dad was born in sortavala. Mom actually moved back to finland in april this year. They came to canada back in '56. As to the finnish language I speak it well, read it some and write it worse

It maybe helps, if you change your keyboard settings from us to europe (finnish).

Or then use the ALT 0246 for ö and ALT 0228 for ä
