"It's normally the second glow plug relay that fails. The one with five wires.
The GQ 2.8 glow plugs have a first stage and a second stage.
If you connect a voltmeter to the long busbar you should see the following reading
Stage one : Around 12 volts
Stage two : Around 6 volts.
Voltmeter connected to the short busbar
Stage one: Around 0 volts
Stage two : Around 12 volts"
