SUZUKI announced a problem with the Jimny Estate and Soft top affecting a total of 3,814 vehicles.
The bolt securing the gear selector yoke to the gear selector shaft may loosen and fall out. 
This will allow the gear selector yoke to become detached from the selector shaft.
In this event, it will not be possible to select gear. Vehicles built from 04/01/1998 to 10/31/1999 are at risk.
The following remedial action is necessary to address this problem. Fit a higher tensile bolt to the gear selector yoke and tighten it to a higher torque specification.
Vehicles with the following identification numbers are affected:
JSAFJB33V00100001 to JSAFJB33V00132823 to 0
