The 1KZ-TE has a gear driven pump which runs at 1160 psi and has a maximum
pressure of 1600 psi, this means that it perfectly capable of handling a
Hydraulic winch as Mile Marker Hydraulic winches are designed to operate at
1500 psi. Going over the 1500 psi of pressure will not cause any damage to
the winch as they have been tested up to 2900 psi without any problems.
Attached is a HI 10500 installed on a Land cruiser, The advantage with these
vehicles as well as the Prado's is that they have a solid Hydraulic hose
which runs directly in front of the vehicle where the winch usually sits,
this allows you to make an easy bypass without having to purchase the pump
adapter kit(see attached). Depending on the mounting system the HI models
may cause you to have some modifications done in order for the winch to fit
as the solenoid valve is directly mounted on the winch. H series models have
the solenoid valve separate with plumbing going from the winch to the actual
solenoid valve, this allows you to place the solenoid valve in a higher
position under the hood which in turn further protects the solenoid vale
from the elements resulting in a 100% durable winch that can even be
operated underwater!

Kind Regards,
OTR Team
