LR Defender on "Broun Rally" (photo-report)
 

Organizers of this event arrange similar for the first time. Race consisted of two stages: the first was sandy race which was as qualifying arrival in the first day and the second day race on a wood. All events occured on military range very huge on the scales. Extent of a line was made with two laps on 102 km. The most part of participants participated on Land Rovers Discovery 2 and Defender. The obligatory requirement without which did not suppose on race was to have a helmet therefore as organizers have warned about consequences. And helmets have really rescueed participants. Average speed made 60-70 km \h. I can tell, that the line was not from lungs, in fact there not long before passed competitions "Transoriental". High-speed sides mixed up with a dirt and greater holes. Even spirit grasped;)

Whitch part of Russia this race was? Landscape looks so nice that it might be interesting to visit some day.

Thank's. This is near with city Luga. I don't know websites where you can find calendar of competitions, but you can find any competition you want on my website. Because all organizers from S-Petersburg off-road clubs write about the nearest competitions on the forum on my website. www.avtokosmos.ru
Nearest competition will be "Karbuselka" the next Suturday. This competition will be for two days: Suturday and Sunday. In Suturday organizers will lead passage of special sites, and on Sunday will be orientation.
