Hello to everyone

As the title suggests I would need a few details about this OM612 engine, 2700cc CDI. The engine comes from a sprinter 213 complete with its automatic transmission.

I need to know before purchasing the vehicle the two following information:

How is' long the motor from the back of the head, ie from above the flange flywheel, to the fan.

Do you know of someone who 'can work on the unit of this engine?

I need to delete ABS, ESP and immobilaizer.

The purpose is to swap the engine and I have to check if there fit in

Thank you :)

Dont have exact answer, but it the engine is about same length than older OM602 engines, if it helps, i can measure OM611 and OM613 for you.

ABS end ESP might (???) be disabled from software, but immo does not. You HAVE to have original key and motorcontrol unit + CAN between them. (if you dont use some aftermarket parts)

Also, if you use oriGinal motorcontrol (ECU) and automatic Gearbox, you have to keep axle ratios like oriGinal, if they dont match, the ECU activates "limp home mode" because it thinks that there is some slipping on Gearbox.

There will be problems, which you dont expect before you make the swap and CDI updates for older cars are not very common yet even in Finland ...

What car you are updatinG ?

BTW. Isnt that 213 sprinter with 4 cylinder OM611 ?

213 = OM611
216 = OM612

From bellhousing to fanblades (tapemeasure) aprox. 75cm

Not a cheap thing to do, but possible, search from the internet German "tuning" companies ex. Kleeman, Carlsson.... OR Brabus:rolleyes:
